August gathering & September book

Our August meeting at Rogue Tavern had a great  turnout with a couple of new faces, including Cindy, Cristie, Jenn, Katie, Kristen, Kellet, Liz, Terra, and myself. We had a blast and we even discussed the book! Hey, there's a first time for everything!

Ashley will host our September gathering in her new house! Can't wait to see it! She has selected Undress Me in the Temple of Heaven by Susan Jane Gilman. We'll meet at our regular time, 7 p.m. on Tuesday, September 21.

In the meantime, I hope all of you can attend - or volunteer for! - Raindrop Festival & Disc Golf Tournament on Saturday, September 4. Volunteers work a 2 hour shift in exchange for free entrance and a T-shirt. If you'd rather just play without working, for $20 you'll get to see 10 of Birmingham's best bands and drink all the Back Forty Beer you want from your souvenir beer cup. Disc golfers can compete in a C-tier PDGA tournament and get a player's pack full of goodies!
